Health Myths We Grow Up With

We have always been told to cover your head when it is cold because heat is lost through our head. You lose heat from whatever is uncovered.

We have always been told that taking vitamin C and Zinc will help prevent or shorten a cold. Taking vitamin C daily or Zinc well not keep you from getting a cold and once you are sick it will not ease you symptoms.

We have always been told to drink 8 glasses of water per day. There is no medical to drink 8 glasses of water per day. We get enough water from what we eat and drink. There's water in our food.

We have always been told that we can get sick from cold and wet weather. Colds and the flu come from Viruses, not the weather.
